I founded VDB Photos L.L.C. in 2011 to specialize in portraiture, food, and event photography. My images capture experience and emotion by highlighting how subjects interact with their environments.
I come from a photojournalism background covering daily news, with my work being published in The Wall Street Journal, LA Times, and People Magazine. I also had the opportunity to work as a staff photographer for an internationally recognized family camp, The FVC, photographing kids camp activities and family portraits.
Photography affords an unparalleled opportunity to meet new people, see new places, and learn new perspectives. No day is ever the same and I love the challenge of sharing each subject's story in unique and aesthetically pleasing images.
When not working I’m an avid cyclist, DnD mountain dwarf, and consumer of all things tech media.
